What connecting actually does
CFOOS reads. It does not move money, place orders, or issue refunds. Credentials are encrypted at rest, per connection, with a key that never leaves the server. Bank access runs through the RBI-regulated Account Aggregator framework (Setu) — you grant consent, you revoke it — or you upload statements instead.
Sources also feed the AI CFO's suggested questions: it never offers a question about a source you haven't connected, and it tells you which sources are stale and what that makes unreliable.
